San Francisco, CA (October 5, 2000) LetsTalk.com, a retailer, comparison engine and distributor of wireless phone and plans, announced today a partnership with fusionOne, a pioneer in the development of next-generation Internet synchronization services.
Under the terms of the agreement, registered users of fusionOne's free Internet Synchronization service will be able to purchase wireless phone data cables, accessories and fusionOne-compatible mobile phones through LetsTalk.com. LetsTalk.com will offer fusionOne's wireless synchronization products to LetsTalk.com customers.
"With all of the discussion about the future of wireless, it is easy to overlook the many exciting wireless tools available today," said Delly Tamer, LetsTalk.com president and CEO. "fusionOne's products are available for the vast majority of wireless phones. For users with WAP (Wireless Access Protocol) phones, fusionOne helps access email, calendar and even files and folders."
fusionOne's fusionPhoneTM for Windows® is a synchronization service available to a broad base of phone models and configurations. fusionOne's wireless synchronization service enables users to enter a new number either in their desktop PIM, the address book in their handheld device, or even their favorite fusionOne-enabled online address book and that number will instantly be updated in all of their devices, including their mobile phone.
"fusionOne has taken Internet synchronization to the next level by supporting cutting-edge technology such as over-the-air sync, while also supporting hundreds of legacy phone models through our new fusionPhoneTM cable-based sync," said Rick Onyon, president and CEO of fusionOne.
